COVID-19 Update: CSG Library Closed Indefinitely

Read the update on the CSG Library and office.

As the State of Connecticut continues to respond to the rapidly changing circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Connecticut Society of Genealogists’ library will now be closed to the public indefinitely. This means that there will be no Genealogy Help Sessions on Thursday, March 26 or April 9 and whether there will be a session on April 23 is questionable.

The status of our scheduled April 18 program featuring Ed Strickland speaking on “More Than a Will” is also questionable.

In addition, in response to the Governor’s policy requesting “nonessential” workers to stay home, CSG’s office staff will not be available to answer telephone calls but can respond to emails and will be continuing to process dues, which may be mailed or paid through our website.

Be sure to check our Website,, and follow our posts on Facebook and Twitter for updates on the status of our April 18 program and May 16 Annual Meeting, and other news of the genealogy community.

We’ll do our best to continue to keep you informed about what’s happening at CSG. If you have any questions, please contact us at
